A couple of months back,I told you about the much awaited collaboration-Versace for H&M.Donatella has finally put together the collection and it will hit the stores on November 17,till then you can check out the collection online here. Also, here are some of my favourites which left my jaw completely open. And hurting.
Prices will range from $17.95 for crazily-printed men’s undies, to $299 for Anna Dello Russo‘s studded leather dress, according to WWD. The other dresses range from $149 to $249, and accessories like a silk purse will set you back $199. Expensive for H&M, but cheap for Versace, which is the whole point of these collabs, isn’t it?
Though,I have to say,I was a bit surprised.I was expecting more of fall clothing than tropical summer. The collection is quite unusual. You could fall in love with one thing, and be outraged at another. The scarves were really pretty and the shoes too. Some dresses raised my eyebrows which isn't a good sign but others were interesting.Pants were the spotlight.Striking patterns to crazy studded-it was all there. There was also some home stuff like pillows and all.In fact, the ad campaign shows Abbey Lee wearing nothing but a pillow. The Men's collection is out too in which we see men posing in magenta jumpsuits and palm tree shorts.Would love to see someone pick those up.Overall,I think I'd like to pay a visit to an H&M store on 17th Nov.Won't be disappointing yet nor very insightful.
Let me know what you think of the collection.Comment away!
