Amy Winehouse:Fashion Legacy

Hello everyoneee.
After struggling with drugs and rehabilitation for a very long time,it has come to an end but at a terrible price. On July 23,2011,we lost Amy Winehouse. She was not only an amazing singer but also had a fashion legacy. In October 2010,she teamed with Fred Perry and was closely involved in the project-including product style collection, the application of fabric, colours and styling details and gave crucial input on proportion, colour and fit.
Winehouse's distinctive style made her a muse for fashion designers including Karl Lagerfeld. Her style has been featured many a times in innumerable magazines. Her winged eyeliner became very popular among fashion shows and magazines.Even among the common people, many women posed as Amy Winehouse for theme parties wearing her signature eye-makeup.Take a look at all the interpretations of Winehouse’s fashion.

Don't untie the bow.

Hiiiii.
Today I went shopping.Yayayayayy.It was a lot of fun, except the part where I spent all my money but apart from that,it was a great day.I went with my friends-Shivani,Avika and Anushka. We all went crazy at Forever 21.Literally.Shivani bought the most amazing top ever.It is black and white-and wait for it-ruffled. :O
It is really pretty and looks great!Anushka bought a pair of black capris.Avika, being more of an accessories person, bought these hair clips shaped in bows. And since she has awesome hair, and anything and everything looks good on her,so did this.
And now for the best.Baha.I bought this blue-printed dress. And a necklace. And earrings. They were love at first sight.Couldn't leave them behind! Behold:

Photographed by: Shivani Malik, because she rocks.
Wearing: Blue Forever 21 dress,Forever 21 Necklace,Accessorize earrings, Aftershock heels.

This dress is completely amazing. It's blue which makes it even better. And the back is oh-so-hot. Sigh!
Secondly.Okay.I know you're sick of these heels,but I don't possess any other :O
They are like my only pair of beautiful-I repeat-beautiful shoes. They are, right? Thanks.
So,I've decided that before you all decide to throw a bottle on my head and smash my face,I'm going to buy a new pair.[Is that a relief I'm hearing?]
Or,you know I could always beg and borrow.Always works.Specially when your friends shop so much.
Hahaha, guess what? I'm also thinking of buying a few pairs of jeans.Because it just hit me,that I haven't written a single post about them.Next one-I cross my heart and promise,I will be wearing jeans.Really!
Kay,now I have to go before Shivani dozes off.Kbye.

CAMPAIGNS 2011.

Heyeyeyeyeyeyeyy,
My life is shit at the moment.I got my result a few days back and it reflects my life exactly-shit.Anyhow,I've to study really hard since I want to change my school next year. It's alright Manvi! This is what happens when you study extremely hard and your marks still don't come.C'mon,it's sad.Sympathize!
Anyway,I have awesome news. The campaigns are out and they are the shiz.Really.From Loewe to Prada,it's all there.Take a look at the best.

1.Loewe

This campaign is just absolutely stunning. It quickly draws your attention to the neon palette bags and makes you want to grab them from Mariacarla Boscono's hands.Beautifully shot too.
2. Valentino

Nude monochrome campaigns can often be completely neglected. But such is not the case with the above masterpiece. The casting is spot-on perfect, with models Ruby Aldridge, Caroline Brasch Nielsen, Jac Jagaciak, Kim Dall Armi, and Sara Blomqvist playing off each others’ stark beauty. The same stark beauty runs through the clothes. Simple and elegant, understated, dramatic. All good words for your product to be associated with.

3. Chanel

This Chanel Eyewear campaign is a complete eyecatcher. It is simple and elegant and emphasizes beautifully on the eyewear.
4. Givenchy
Naomi Campbell poses on a pillow sized for a jaguar while doing her best jag impression. The understated luxe wood surroundings put the focus on Tisci’s photogenic clothes.Sexy and alluring.

5.Yves Saint Laurent

Raquel Zimmerman rocks a Bieber-esque ‘do for YSL’s fall campaign. The background of skyscrapers and a presumably ’80s office setting interacts with Stefano Pilati’s uber-tailored menswear meets womenswear collection. The overall feel is a little off, but in a good way–just unique enough to catch a consumer’s eye.

So,that's it for now.Byee you guys.See you.soon.Hopefully!

"Vintage! So adorable."

Hii all :*
This post is for the new IFB project.Seriously, you all must visit ifb.It is so awesome.Their new project is to go back to a special day,and recreate that special outfit.I was completely psyched about it and now finally, here it is.
I wore this to my house-warming party but without the cool-ass vintage cardigan. It really is awesome isn't it? Actually,my friend possesses that unfortunately. And and and, also sans the hairband.
The pictures are gross because of the non-existent make-up.But anyhow.Behold:

I had to crop my face out,I was looking demented.

Blurry,I know -.-

WEARING: Black tank from Zara, Brown skirt from Forever 21, Vintage off-white cardigan [borrowed], Hairband from Accessorize, Shoes from Aftershock.

So,when I recreated this outfit, only one thing came in my mind: I HEART IFB.
Ifb is so awesome. This project has definitely served it's purpose and helped me brush up my styling skills. The previous look was very special for me as my look reflected exactly how my house is-modern and chic. That is one day I was showered with compliments and it really made my day. While recreating the look,I couldn't think of as to how I would make an already perfect look better but then I realised that there's always scope for improvement!
This cardigan is so great that I'm planning to whack it at night.*Ssh*
It's colour allows it to go with practically anything and it is lace which is divine.Lace is so beautiful. It proves to be both casual and formal, depending on the accessories.
So,go head and buy some lace thing for your cupboard.Trust me,you won't regret it!
Anyway,that's itt.

Blair Waldorf

Hiiii all.
As a style blogger,I'd feel miserable if I don't dedicate a post to the one and only-Blair Waldorf. The Gossip Girl character is portrayed as stylish and fashionable. Even though,I love the clothes,I don't watch the show -no kidding! I just go through her outfits from the episodes on a daily basis occasionally. My sister practically worships Gossip Girl and bugs me about watching it.My friends go on and on and on and on about it. It really must be awesome, but since I haven't even watched a single episode, can't bet on it.Anyway,Leighton Meester looks amazing-as always-in all the pictures. She is a goddess, and I worship her-and her stylist. Well,I like Serena's clothes too actually but Blair's are more the type I'd like to wear. Not an everyman but still beautiful. These are some of the things,I plan to steal. Ssh.

I love the look of the bow-ish thing on the shoulder.

Th coat!

Collete Dinnigan dress.It's adorable!

I love the skirt.

The hairband,my gosh.

DRESS..DRESS.DRESS.

The white eyelet dress.

The kind of bag I'd kill for.

The kind of hairband I'd die for.

Oh my god.That is beautiful.

School uniform gets a makeover.Beautiful makeover.

Perfection personified.

Chanel bag,oh yeaahhh.

Kohl.

Hiii,so tis is the next assignment.
This is a great one.Since the American Independence Day is round the corner, IFB has come up with a very innovative project of bloggers showcasing any belonging that made them feel independent.

When I was about 10,I used to witness the way my elder sister used a kohl pencil. It fascinated me to the core.I used to wonder when I'd be standing in her place. The standing in front of the mirror, applying the colour, using tissue to remove any excess colour infatuated me.And behold,3 years later I was finally permitted to buy one for myself. It made me feel independent. It made me feel liberated. It made me feel free. And most importantly,it made me feel old.Which is the way we all want it to be [until we turn 20].I bought a pencil from Colorbar in black. That was my first kohl pencil. And that has been the only make I have been using till date. There's not a single day,I don't put it.And it's always there in my pocket or my bag.For some,it's their phone or their camera they don't forget keeping while for me it's my kohl pencil.

That's it for now.
