"Stop at nothing."
History has seen many tyrants like Hitler, Bin Laden, Gaddaffi and now we have another name, topping the list- Joseph Kony. Kony can be summed up in two words, ruthless and autocratic. He is an Ugandan group leader, head of the Lord Resistance's Army which is a militant group with a syncretic pseudo-Christian extreme religious ideology, known for the atrocities they commit against civilians, including murder, mutilations, rape, and in some accounts even cannibalism. Young children, like you and me, are abducted from their homes and are forced to become child soldiers and sex slaves. These children have to sometimes even commit murder of their own siblings and parents. And this is not just one child, the abductions account of 30,000 children. They don't have a choice, they have to do it. And the master of all this is on the loose.
Even though he is the #1 wanted person on the list of the International Criminal Court, 99% of the world is unknown to his name. He is out there and torturing more and more while most of us are sitting in our safe homes with no threats. This is where the Invisible Children Inc. came in. This organization was initially started by a number of American college students in 2004 who traveled to Africa and shot a documentary called 'Invisible Children' focusing on the war taking place in Uganda. Since eight years, they have been working hard trying to spread the word about Kony and his atrocities on the people. Their movie 'Kony 2012',which you can see here is an eye opener and makes you want to extend your hand to the citizens of Uganda. This campaign was triggered when Barack Obama himself announced, in October 2011, the deployment of US troops to Uganda for the purpose of killing or capturing Joseph Kony. This campaign includes an 'action kit' consisting of bracelets showing support, awareness programs, funding programs, and a documentary. And this man must be captured in 2012 for which we must all come together and bring a stop to him. In '2012, the '20' stands for 20 famous people from different backgrounds who are using their power to make our voices be heard. They consist of Oprah Winfrey, Rihanna, Mark Zuckerberg. And the '12' stands for the policy makers all around the globe. and to make this work, we must all spread awareness and do our part. The only way to stop him is to make him famous and subsequently making his tyranny famous so that the world binds together against him.

"We don't just study human history, we shape it."
As a part of this campaign, on 21st April 2012, the major cities in the world will wake up to innumerable posters signalling the existence of Josephy Kony. The first step towards his extinction is spreading awareness and that's what everyone will come across on this day. This is a key step because the more the people care, the more the governments all across will push the action of looking for him, eventually resulting in his arrest. We must take a stand for humanity and show we care. We absolutely cannot let him get away with it. We cannot let such a man be a barrier for world peace.
I want him arrested. Do you?
I want him arrested. Do you?
